Sunday Brunch at The English Rose Tearoom

This Sunday, June 11th, brunch at The English Rose Tearoom and meet artist Alan Shuptrine! He’ll speak at 12 p.m. about his Appalachian series, the Serpentine Chain, now showing at the Tennessee State Museum.
CELTIC TEA FOR TWO- Includes a specialty blend of our  Celtic Appalachian tea,  Scottish Scone with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry jam,  Assorted finger sandwiches with Salmon Mouse, Roasted red Pepper and cheese, Egg salad, Cream cheese and cucumber, Select cheeses and crackers with fruit garnish, Homemade pastries with Scottish shortbread, Bakewell tart, Chocolate delights, and English biscuits. $35
SPINACH QUICHE – with choice of soup, salad or fresh fruit cup.  Served with a plain scone, clotted cream and choice of lemon curd or strawberry jam. $14
TOAD IN THE HOLE-  A British banger baked in an egg soufflé topped with caramelized onions.         Served with potato pancakes, plain scone with a choice of lemon curd or strawberry jam. $14
PLOUGHMAN’S LUNCH- Choice of soup with salad, cheeses and crusty roll & Branston pickle.     $12
SOUP & SANDWICHES- Choice of soup with our six finger sandwiches.   $10
COTTAGE PIE-Ground beef in gravy, peas and carrots topped with mashed potatoes and side. $10
CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE PIE- White meat chicken with vegetables in cream sauce topped with mashed potatoes and one side.   $10
DOVER SOLE- Light white fish with a crabmeat stuffing, mashed potatoes and one side         $13
CHOCOLATE CAKE – Served with raspberry sauce and whipped cream.
EATON CHAOS-Strawberries and meringue chips folded into whipped cream.
LEMON CHEESECAKE- Light creamy cheesecake with lemon topping.
SHERRY TRIFLE- Sherry soaked sponge cake and raspberries topped with custard and cream.
PROFITEROLES- Cream puffs served with custard, cream and chocolate sauce.
STICKLY TOFFEE PUDDING- Warmed spice cake with melted toffee and custard.
CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONE PUDDING- in custard sauce topped with caramel sauce and whipped cream.
