Amelia’s Boutique: A Store For Girls is celebrating a fantastic first year in Riverview with a Grand Reopening!
Amelia’s is a clothing and accessories boutique imagined by 12-year-old Amelia Bustamante, a student at Normal Park Museum Magnet School. Last year, she realized her classmates and friends didn’t have anywhere to shop for age-appropriate clothing. Nearby boutiques either catered to young children or young women. With that, an idea was born.
Amelia shared her idea with her mother, entrepreneur Joann Bustamante. Joann, the founder of Local Fare Magazine and supporter of “all things local,” drew up a business plan for a “tween” boutique. Within weeks, Amelia’s Boutique was up and running!
“Amelia’s has clothing for school, weekends, vacation, and everything in between. Our boutique fills unique niche that was desperately needed in Chattanooga,” says Joann Bustamante.
Amelia’s Boutique is owned by Bustamante and Barbara Perdomo. Perdomo has over twenty years of experience in retail buying and sales at Saks Fifth Avenue. Perdomo also has as a 10-year-old daughter, Mia, that loves shopping at the boutique.
Amelia’s carries sizes 7/8 through 14/16 and is located inside Bleu Door Boutique in Riverview. They are celebrating the Grand Reopening throughout April, kicking off at Whoop-De-Doo in Riverview on Thursday, April 5th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
