Beach Blanket Movie Night

Enjoy a free movie night under the stars! Bring your chairs or blankets to watch a movie from the beach or your boat. The movie will be Moana, Walt Disney’s 2016 release about an adventurous teenager who is inspired to leave the safety and security of her island on a daring journey to save her people. Family activities will be held on the beach before the movie. First aid will be provided by Lifeguard Ambulance Service LLC.
Fly By Radio

Fans of Aretha Franklin, Ozzy Osbourne, and Garth Brooks don’t seem like they’d enjoy the same live music. Not the case with Fly By Radio! The tribute band plays a wide variety of your favorite songs from the past and present and keeps the crowd dancing all night! Fly By Radio frequents Chattanooga and their next stop is Friday the 26th. Tickets are still available to the 18+ show! You can find more information here.
Once again, Miller Plaza transforms into a live music venue for this week’s Nightfall! You can expect the same great music, delicious food, and cold beverages… but there is something new this week! Birch + Magnolia is introducing their Family Comfort Station, which will be available the last Friday of each month. It’s a safe place for parents to change their babies or let their kiddos take a breather without having to leave the fun. The music starts at 7:00 PM!

Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden
The annual folk art festival returns to Summerville! FinsterFest honors the life and legacy of Rev. Howard Finster. Several folk artists will have art on display. There will also be live music, food and beverages. Tickets are $5. The garden’s address is 200 N. Lewis Street in Summerville.
Memorial Day Programs at Lookout Mountain Battlefield

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will hold a Memorial Day Artillery Program commemorating the men and women whose lives have been lost in service to our nation. Visitors are encouraged to bring a photo or memento of a friend or loved one who died. Programs are scheduled throughout the day and the times are listed above. Additionally, there will be ranger-guided tours of Point Park at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Park admission is $5.

Remembering Our Heroes Motorcycle Ride

6th Cavalry Museum
Join 6th Cavalry Museum and Thunder Creek Harley Davidson for a ride in remembrance of the 100th anniversary of the United States entering World War 1. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, they’ll start the day with a Memorial Service in the Cavalry Memorial Garden. The course includes the Chickamauga Battlefield Park, National Cemetery, and will end at Thunder Creek Harley Davidson for lunch. Cost is $20 per person and registration will be available the day of the ride.
